I recently went to my therapist wearing what she described as a "mauve" dress; she pronounced it "mohv." We discussed this, as I always thought it was pronounced "mawv," and in fact I taught my grandson "mawv" as we were making mauve-colored rice crispy treats together. Some sources say "mawv" is correct in America, but the below video says it should always be "mohv" no matter where you live on God's green earth. Well good, the correct way is much more fulfilling. This is a prize nugget I got from therapy, among many others.
"I watch TV. What do you want from me?"
--From the song My Favorite Headache by Geddy Lee
I watched Gilmore Girls in its entirety. Delightful and charming are the words I use to describe it. I am having my usual PBD (post-binge depression), a kind of grieving for these characters since I can no longer spend time with them.
I also watched The Morning Show in its entirety. I would NOT use "delightful" and "charming" to describe it. It was far too political for my taste. But it was an all-star cast; I enjoyed looking at the beautiful people and watching all the machinations and relationships. In spite of myself, I thought about some tough societal issues because of the show. By the way how is it that Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon fail to age?
Look at this birthday card my grandson Eli made for me: 55 candles!!
Here is my pet-in-a-pot, Diabetic Butter. I give her insulin shots every 12 hours. Little booger. Just found out she likely has acromegaly, thus the big head and neck. She also has two rows of claws on each paw.
Joy is being beholden only to the people I choose.
