Happy Belated Birthday Carolyn!

It's the stupid only-recently un-busted scanner's fault this is late. Yup, that's my excuse, and I'm sticking to it.

• Jerry has pneumonia. He's had a fever for 5 or 6 days. Today he is feeling a little better, though. He said, "I'm not withering on the vine."
• Daily double: Jerry had a dream about soldiers who were called "Frere Jacques". Later he woke up and came downstairs. Rebekah started playing "Frere Jacques" on the piano.

Rebekah and Jerry went to Finland to visit relatives and see the sites. They enjoyed every bit of the trip. I will post more pictures as I get them, but for now, here is Rebekah in her shirt she got, which means "Finland."

Happy Birthday Amanda!

Roman Holiday

I just watched Roman Holiday for the first time. It was just the right mix of fun and bittersweet for my mood. And who doesn't like to look at Audrey Hepburn? That waist! That face! It's so funny how they used to kiss in the black and white movie days. 1) smoosh faces together, 2) freeze for 3 seconds, 3) separate suddenly without puckering or indeed making any sort of sound/slurp whatsoever.

Here she is when she was older. Talk about growing old gracefully. I hope I can look as classy as she when I am older.

so you think you can dance SPOILERS

I got quite attached to Mark on So You Think You Can Dance, just as he was about to get kicked out. So sad to see him go. This routine they did on Wednesday so delighted me that I have watched it several times. The music, "The Garden" by Mirah, is just as fab as the dancing. The vid quality is not so swell; you can't see Mark's facial expressions, which is the best part. But unswell vid of this is better than no vid of this. If you are easily offended by raw, dark art, run away.
