I'm very interested in the debate over whether diet soda contributes to weight gain or not. I just read several articles that make good arguments for the yes side of the debate. I think I will give up diet soda and see what happens. I thought about pasting in an entire article here, but it's a bit too long to hold anyone's attention. I will just put a link to it (here) and give you the bottom line:
The essential lesson is that the brain doesn't like being tricked. When you give
us sweetness without the caloric energy, we end up craving calories more than
ever.

When we lived in AZ I read several articles on the topic. Not only does the fake sugars make you crave more sugar, you body has a harder time processing them....they are therefore EVIL muhhahaha
I can't wait til the movie. I of course did not read the book but Amanda over a year ago spoiled a very important part of the book for me. I am very much excited still. I am anxious to see what else happens. WOO HOO raise the roof for Harry Potter.
Does diet coke make u fat? So they say. What coke and diet coke really does it make you sick! All soda products are sweetened with a artificial sugar called Aspartame. It is mostly the base for soda and those packet sugars you find at restaurants. I not going to post a info up just do a google search and you will be amazed about some findings about Aspartame. So you feeling down and fatigued. More than likely its the soda. I can tell you from personal experience that when i gave it up I felt 100 time better. I still drink it every now and then but I'm trying to stay away from it. Best thing give up soda altogether and If you are looking for something to sweeting things with I recommend using agave nectar. It's an all natural sweetener and won't kill your diet.
If you want to really get into the subject of what killing you in your food do some research on a company called Monsanto company. They are a leader in developing products like Aspartame. Do a search also for Round up weed killer in corn. Let me know when you stop eating grocery store corn after reading the research.
