langostino

I have discovered langostino, which is, according to Wikipedia, the
meat of the squat lobster, which is neither a true lobster nor a prawn.  It is more closely related to porcelain crabs and hermit crabs.
Delicious sauteed in butter, with salt and garlic.

What do Grapefruit, Doctor Who, and Brown Hair have in common?

Ever wonder or care why you can't have grapefruit with certain medications?  I didn't think so.  So don't read this:
Grapefruit’s culprit chemical does not interact directly with your pills. Instead, it binds to an enzyme in your intestinal tract known as CYP3A4, which reduces the absorption of certain medications. When grapefruit juice blocks the enzyme, it’s easier for the medication to pass from your gut to your bloodstream. Blood levels will rise faster and higher than normal, and in some cases the abnormally high levels can be dangerous.
I refused to watch Doctor Who after David Tennant left, because I saw the new guy as a usurper.  No one could ever be as great a Doctor as David Tennant.  I still believe that, but last night I finally gave in and watched an episode with the new guy, Matt Smith.  I was so pleased to see that The Doctor is still The Doctor, and I rediscovered my love for him.

London and Bath, England pictures

These are pictures I took of London and Bath.

The traditional English "roast", with Yorkshire pudding.  Yorkshire pudding is just eggy bread, and tasty.  The meat was tough.

This picture and the next 4 are of St. Paul's.Early each day to the steps of Saint Paul's
The little old bird woman comes
In her own special way to the people she call,
"Come, buy my bags full of crumbs;
Come feed the little birds,
Show them you care
And you'll be glad if you do
Their young ones are hungry
Their nests are so bare
All it takes is tuppence from you
Feed the birds, tuppence a bag
Tuppence, tuppence, tuppence a bag
Feed the birds," that's what she cries
While overhead, her birds fill the skies

This and the next 10 pictures are of the outside of the Tower of London and the Tower Bridge
